Brooklyn’s comics HQ Desert Island as posted a selection of ads on Flickr from the now legendary Paper Rodeo. Drawn by the publishers for the local businesses that supported this free publication, the advertisement pages were always a favorite part of Paper Rodeo.
I think I picked this zine up in Providence in late 2003, early 2004. Compiled by Leif Goldberg, it contains drawings of celestial cities, stars and asteroids by Providence favorites like Xander Marro, Mat Brinkman, Brian Chippendale, Jean Cozzens, CF, Cybele Collins, Jung Hong, Erin Rosenthal, Jo Dery and many, many more.
