A few people have asked where I get the book pages I work over for the flooded city pieces i have been making recentlly. I search used bookstores pretty regularly for older coffee table/souvenir style books with aerial photographs of American cities. There is a particular quality to the printed materials from that era, a lot of super saturated images, a lot of crazy colors, a lot of blown out blacks. And some of the design choices are real interesting. The images after the jump are some of the more interesting ones from my collection of source materials.

I got to write a little feature on our good buddy Chris Kline in the new issue of Juxtapoz (#99).

Despite the physical space closing, Iceberger is continuing to do good stuff; they just posted an interview with Brian Willmont. This is the latest in a series of interviews with great artists that Iceberger has been doing.

I just got back from San Francisco where I had an exhibition of new works on paper at White Walls. Besides being supremely tired, it was an amazing trip. Alex Lukas dot com has most of the new work up, along with some new images in the in print section. More images after the jump

I had a layover in Denver today on my way to Oakland. I have been to this airport a few times before, and it can be a little weird. A while ago I wrote a short piece for the nearly finished next issue of May Lay on some of the conspiracy theories surrounding Denver International, some of the murals there and the airports roll as a secret detention facility for the New World Order. It can be a kind of spooky place. It also looks like the Wikipedia entry on the subject has been deleted. Spooooky. More photos after the jump
